Aeroville Shopping Mall is also equipped with flight information system, concierge service for flight passengers to check-in via online, resting zones for air travellers, Grab concierge service that connects with Kuching International Airport (KIA) and a well-secured luggage storage area.

Econsave Cash & Carry (Econsave) and restaurant operator Hoi Tin Lau Restaurant Sdn Bhd are the main tenants of the mall.

“One of the many uniqueness of Aerovillle Shopping Mall is it provides additional services to customers such as performing online check-in at the mall, luggage storage and flight information,” said Aeroville Shopping Mall director Tan Kun Gee.

Minister of Local Government and Housing Datuk Dr Sim Kui Hian, who officiated at the
opening ceremony yesterday, viewed this development as the latest landmark and tourist attraction in the city.

He said with the ongoing Visit Sarawak Year 2019 campaign, he assured everyone that the Sarawak government would continue boost the local tourism industry through a line-up of programmes and activities.

Dr Sim pointed out that the strategic location of the shopping mall, which is very near to the KIA, would provide a venue for passengers to fill up their flight-waiting time with activities.

“I would like to take this opportunity to thank Lee Onn Group for yet another success and also its contribution to the Kuching (specifically), and Sarawak (as a whole),” said Dr Sim in his welcoming speech at the event, where Minister of Tourism, Arts, Culture, Youth and Sports Datuk Abdul Rahman Hamzah was also present.

Later, Lee Onn Group chairman Tan Guek Kee gave the company’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) presentation of RM10,000 to Sarawak Heart Foundation, which was accepted by Dr Sim.
