KOTA KINABALU: The incessant rainfall over the last 18 hours have flooded several districts in Sabah.
Among the badly hit districts are Kota Belud and Penampang.
In Kota Belud, 19 villages were affected and two temporary evacuation centres, Dewan Masyarakat Tun Said and SMK Taun Gusi were opened, said the state Civil Defence Force.
In Dewan Masyarakat Tun Said, 31 people are temporary housed.
In Penampang, 11 villages and a housing estate were flooded and two evacuation centres, Pusat Kebudayaan Penampang and Jud’s Hall Sy Aloysius Penampang were activated.
Five families comprising 18 people, including a baby have been evacuated from their homes to the Pusat Kebudayaan Penampang.
