KAPIT:The Department of Veterinary Services (DVS) is currently running free anti-rabies vaccination for dogsacross this district.
Yesterday, the DVS team travelled to Sungai Melinau in Ulu Sungai Baleh to conduct the programme at the longhouses there, where they vaccinated 39 dogs.
According to DVS Kapit officer-in-charge Ricky Davidson, only sick and pregnant dogs were not given the vaccine.
Adding on, he said the next session would take place at the parking area of Bletih State Complex here this Monday, running from 9am to 1pm.
“We call upon all dog owners to bring their pet shere for the vaccination.
“In Kapit, so far more than 100 dogs have received anti-rabies vaccine,” he said.
