A 4WD vehicle gets stuck at a stretch of the muddy road to Long Linei longhouse and Long Panai.
MARUDI: Many vehicles intending to proceed to Long Linei longhouse and also to Long Panai were forced to remain in Marudi because of the bad condition of the road to Long Linei caused by non-stop rain the past three days, rendering some parts impassable.
However, some drivers chose to throw caution to the wind and proceeded to drive on, resulting in many vehicles stuck on the muddy road.
The logging road is the only means to reach Long Linei by motorised vehicles, leaving many with no choice but to dread through the mud and slippery condition of the road in order to get home to their longhouse.
Yesterday morning saw many teachers of SK Long Linei, SMK Tutoh Apoh and SK Long Panai, Tutoh intending to go back to their respective schools.
