SIBU: Enhancement Movement Control Order (EMCO) will be enforced in Phase 2 of Sentosa Resettlement Scheme here from 12.01am Feb 27 up to 11.59pm, March 12, says Sibu Divisional Disaster Management Committee (SDDMC).
In its press statement last night, it pointed out that the decision to impose the EMCO with Sarawak Disaster Management Committee’s (SDMC) approval is due to the high number of Covid-19 cases in the area.
“Following the high number of Covid-19 case in Sentosa Resettlement Scheme, phase two, which covers Jalan Sentosa, Jalan Sentosa
Timur and Lorong Sentosa Utara 7, SDDMC with the approval from SDMC, has decided to impose EMCO in all areas under Sentosa Resettlement Scheme, phase two, Sibu District which are inside the border of Jalan Sentosa, Jalan Sentosa Timur and Lorong Sentosa Utara 7, starting 12.01am on Feb 27
Feb till 11.59pm on March 12,” it said.
For the record, the other areas under EMCO here are Sibujaya flats and Town Villa houses, where the restriction has been extended from Feb 26 to March 4.
