Sebauh’s Sekubong Cluster ends today but 25 others still active in Sarawak

KUCHING (Mar 2): The Sekubong Covid-19 cluster in Sebauh has ended today, leaving Sarawak with 25 other active clusters, the State Disaster Management Committee said.

It said in a statement today that the state Health Department had declared an end to the Sekubong Cluster as it had not had any new cases in the past 28 days.

It also said that of the 25 remaining active clusters, only three had recorded new cases today.

“The Jalan Muhibbah Cluster in Betong recorded 49 new cases, bringing the total number of cases in the cluster to 118. A total of 2,043 individuals were screened where 1,509 tested negative and 416 are still pending laboratory test results.

“The Emperoh Jambu Cluster in Kuching recorded five new cases, bringing the total number of cases in the cluster to 171. This came after 818 individuals were screened where 489 tested negative and 158 are pending test results.

“Meanwhile, the Jalan Green Cluster in Kuching saw one new case, bringing the total tally of cases in the cluster to 25. As many as 280 individuals were screened where 255 tested negative and none pending test results,” the committee stated.

The other 22 clustersare the Buloh Cluster in Selangau; Jalan Ho Pin Cluster in Samarahan; Sungai Bakong Cluster in Meradong; Kejatau Cluster in Sri Aman; Jan Yong Cluster in Kapit; Geronggang Cluster in Sibu; Mas Merah Cluster in Sibu; Univista Cluster in Samarahan; Kampung Sungai Maong Cluster in Kuching; Kidurong Dua Cluster in Bintulu; Nanga Lijan Cluster in Julau; Seruas Cluster in Beluru; Sebangkoi Cluster in Sri Aman; Jun Heng Cluster in Bintulu; Bintang Daily Cluster in Meradong; Tabong Cluster in Bau; Indah Riang Cluster in Kuching; Rakut Cluster in Miri; Jelita Cluster in Miri; Gelong Cluster in Kapit; as well as the Pasai Cluster in Sibu and its Tangap sub-cluster in Subis.
