Covid-19: Sarawak records 581 new cases, third highest in the country

KUCHING (June 24): Sarawak today recorded 581 new Covid-19 cases, four more compared to the figure yesterday, said Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.

The Health director-general said this brought the state’s Covid-19 infection tally to 62,147 cases.

“While Sarawak reported 581 cases, the country as a whole had 5,841 cases, bringing the cumulative number of cases to 716,847,” he said in a Facebook post.

Selangor topped the list of new Covid-19 cases with 2,072 cases followed by Negeri Sembilan (781), Sarawak, and Kuala Lumpur (552).

Other states and territories that also reported three-digit cases were Johor (346), Kedah (271), Melaka (247), Labuan (212), Sabah (203), Pahang (162), Kelatan (135), Perak (120), and Penang (108).

Putrajaya recorded 17 cases, while Perlis reported just five cases.
