KOTA KINABALU (Dec 1): Sabah Football Club (Sabah FC) yesterday announced the signing of several new players including former Kedah Darul Aman (KDA) captain Baddrol Bakhtiar and national player Dominic Tan.

The announcement was made on Sabah FC’s official Facebook page which also mentions the signing of former UiTM FC player Dirga Surgi and Labuan-born player Mohd Afiq Yunus Apeng.

Baddrol, who is now 33 years old, is the Super League’s top scorer for local players in this year’s Super League competition.

His consistent performance has made him a backup for the national team in midfield for the AFF Cup which is expected to start on December 6.

Meanwhile, Dominic Tan made his name with Harimau Muda C with his solid defending and played for Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) in 2016.

Dominic was loaned to Portugal with Vilaverdense FC in 2018 and later with the Police Tero team in the Thai 1st League.

Although only at the age of 24, his experience playing with foreign clubs will definitely give more quality to the team and is now on the list for the national AFF Cup squad.
